COVID-19 UPDATE:
PLANS FOR INDOOR GATHERING
DURING FALL AND WINTER MONTHS
September 29, 2020
Dear Forty Corners family and friends.
With the arrival of fall, the weather is turning cooler and the days are getting shorter. With the cooler and unpredictable weather that accompanies the season, it has become necessary for us to move our worship gatherings back inside for the fall and winter months. After much thought, prayer and discussion, the church Leadership Team, has decided to begin re-gathering in the church sanctuary, beginning Sunday October 4th. We will also be changing the start time for our worship gatherings to 10:00 a.m. on this date as well.
As we re-gather in the sanctuary, there are few things that we would like to reemphasize in regards to COVID-19. Please take in consideration the following guidelines and recommendations for indoor services.
1. As you are aware, the state of Ohio remains under a statewide governor’s mandate for wearing masks when in public indoor gatherings. With this in mind we encourage everyone to wear a mask in the church building during all indoor worship gatherings.
2. If you are sick or are experiencing cold or flu like symptoms, please err on the side of caution and do not attend gatherings until you are well and symptom free.
3. Please practice social distancing, refrain from hugging, handshaking, etc…
4. Members of the same household should sit together.
5. Please maintain a safe distance from other families when seated in the sanctuary.
We realize that some of our members are not comfortable with in-person worship gatherings at this time. We fully respect and support those who choose not to attend until they feel completely confident in doing so. We invite those who will not be attending in-person, to join us on Facebook live each Sunday @ 10:00 a.m. The services are streamed live on the Forty Corners Church of God, Facebook page. We are currently working to upgrade our video equipment to improve the quality of our online worship services. The services will also be posted to the church Facebook page to allow you to watch at other times as well.
Thank you so much for your faithfulness to the Lord and His church during this challenging time. We continue to keep each of you in our prayers.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. -Romans 12:12
Grace and peace to all,
Pastor Scott and the Leadership Team
