SCOTT & SUSAN HAYNES
I was born and raised in West Virginia and was blessed to be a part of a loving family. My mother and grandmother were my biggest Christian influences during my childhood. From the time I was born they took me to church and taught me about Jesus.
At the age of 25 I fully committed my life to Christ. In 1995 I was wonderfully saved by the grace of God, and I can honestly say that it was the best decision of my life. The only regret I have is not making the decision to follow Christ earlier in life.
In 1998 I married my wife Susan. I’m blessed to have a wife who loves the Lord and her family with all of her heart. Susan is an ordained minister and a very gifted speaker and preacher in her own right. Together we have two wonderful daughters, Morgan (17) and Kara (10).
After sensing God’s call to ministry for several years, I finally accepted His call and entered the ministry in 2007. I was ordained by West Virginia Ministries of the Church of God in August of 2011.
In June 2015 my family and I moved to Massillon to answer God’s call to pastor Forty Corners Church of God. I am so thankful that God gave me the privilege of leading this wonderful church. My family loves the church the community and the people He has brought into our lives. Prior to coming to Forty Corners, I served as pastor of two congregations in WV.
I enjoy following college sports (I’m a huge WVU Mountaineer Fan). I also enjoy golf, rides in the country, and being with family and friends. My passion is to help people come to know Christ, and develop a lifelong relationship with Him.
Favorite Bible Verse: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” -Romans 5:8
Pastor of Student Ministries
Brandon was born and raised in the Massillon area and has been a part of Forty Corners Church of God for 18 years. After dedicating his life to Jesus at a young age, Brandon discovered his love for ministry through his teenage years at Forty Corners, serving as a student leader, worship leader, and ministry intern over the years.
In 2009 Brandon graduated from Anderson University with a Bachelor's Degree in Christian Ministries and a minor in Music Business. He then felt called to move back home and continued to serve in the student ministry, as well as leading worship at Forty Corners and around the community and region, for several years. Brandon officially came on board as Pastor of Student Ministries in 2016. He has a huge passion to see young people become rooted in Jesus and grow into the person God made them to be.
Brandon is also a freelance graphic designer and photographer and enjoys writing music, leading worship, being an uncle, laughing with friends, and playing with his dog.
